Wilmar Bioethanol Plant: Stormwater Sump Project

ARP Engineering provided engineering and drafting services for the installation of a stormwater system and lining system at the Wilmar Bioethanol Plant in Yarraville, Victoria. This project involved developing detailed construction drawings to upgrade the plant’s existing stormwater management infrastructure.

ARP’s engineering and drafting team created detailed plans for the preparation and paving of the stormwater sump. This included selecting appropriate paving materials, drainage gradients, and jointing details to ensure effective stormwater flow and prevent water accumulation within the bunded area. The site preparation also involved excavation, earthworks, and installation of sub-base materials to establish a solid foundation for the stormwater infrastructure.

The stormwater sumps were designed with careful consideration of their size, location, and connections to the drainage system. Detailed drawings were provided to ensure their efficient integration into the overall stormwater system for optimal water collection. Additionally, ARP developed construction drawings for the installation of steel structures, such as sump support frames and grating covers, to enhance the durability and stability of the system.
