Conveyor Pulley Lifting Jig
ARP were engaged to design a specialised lifting jig to enable the change-out of 2m face width conveyor pulleys of varying diameters, masses and C of G (Centre of Gravity). The design requirements were for a C-hook to enable pulley removal without cutting the belt and with a simple clamping arrangement to minimise hands-on interaction. The resulting design along with the usage and maintenance procedure met the client’s expectations of safety, security and ease of use in a difficult position.
