Gravity Take Up Winches
ARP were engaged to complete design for 4 Gravity Take Up winching systems for Rio Tinto. The winches were to used for the lifting of Gravity Take Up weights prior to maintenance activity being carried out on the conveyor. Mobile Cranes are usually used for lifting gravity take up weights which require complex rigging which exposes workers to risks that can be avoided. The project was initiated without the need for mobile cranes.
